Psalm 23:1 A well-known picture of God as our Shepherd and healer is articulated in the beautiful Psalm 23. It was written by David, a shepherd who saw the Lord as his Shepherd. Take a moment and read the psalm for yourself in your Bible. When you see the Lord as your Shepherd, you will not lack, and that includes not lacking for health. Whatever needs you have, you will not lack because your Good Shepherd provides. You don’t have to run yourself ragged trying to take care of everything and live as though you have no God. Whatever medical condition you are faced with, stay close to the Shepherd and allow Him to provide for you. And did you notice the first thing the Shepherd does? " Exodus 12:17 Did you know that FAITH in a personal God can give you faith in yourself, in the future, and in your ability to change the world? The God of Sinai didn’t say, “I am the Lord your God who created the heavens and the earth.” Instead, He announced, "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage" (Exodus 20:2 NKJV). The God of Creation could theoretically have forsaken the world once He completed His task, but the God of the Exodus made it clear that He is constantly involved in our history and is committed to our survival as people of faith. The Passover story conveys that history is not a happenstance.
