February 26: One Way

"Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
John 14:6
In today's culture, statements like this don't fit in really well. Political correctness, which is supposed to place everyone on the same level, appears to be the order of they day. However, this declaration is far from politically correct.
Buddha is not mentioned as an additional source of information. Islam is not even given the time of day. Jesus doesn't prophesy the need to seek Mohammed's advice. He declares himself to be the only one who can provide the way, the truth, and the life.
Is it fair to everyone then that Jesus is the only way to salvation? The remarkable truth is that the cross is the only place where true fairness exists.
It is at the cross where we all must come as sinners.
It is only at the cross where a Savior has died as the propitiation for our sins, removing it from us. It is only at the cross where every man, woman, and child has the opportunity for the truth to set them free. It is only at the cross, where your sinful nature dies, that you truly find life more abundantly.
"No other way home but Jesus."
