April 27: Lonely or Alone

“Then they all forsook Him and fled."

Mark 14:50

Jesus had just been arrested by the Pharisees and was en route to Caiaphas’ courtroom. The Roman soldiers had come to arrest Him, but when Jesus identified Himself to those who approached Him, they were knocked flat by the power of God (John 18:6). You cannot arrest someone who cannot be constrained. The devil will try to convince you that he can stop you from attaining everything God has for you. For that to happen, the devil would have to go back before time and undo what God ordained before the foundation of the world. It is more likely that a leopard will change its spots before God will change His mind about what He has planned for you.

Everyone had left Jesus, but He was not alone. He was still accompanied by His destiny.

You see when you are in the perfect will of God, you can never be alone.

Loneliness is a lack of awareness of where you are. When you follow the will of God for your life you know where you are. You may be single, divorced, widowed, separated, violated, or abandoned; but if you will surrender your life to the Lord, you will discover your destiny –to be a world-changer and a history maker. You say, “Paula, I’m waiting on God.” To that I say, “God is waiting on you.” It’s time to get alone until you are not alone anymore.

“Isolation is the absence of purpose."
