May 15: Press On
“For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life."

2 Corinthians 1:8

Besides Jesus, I do not think anyone in the Bible suffered as much as Paul, the apostle. This man was shipwrecked, stoned, imprisoned, abandoned, harassed, persecuted, snake bitten, and left for dead. If anyone could have had a reason for quitting, he might have qualified; but instead, he counted it all joy to suffer like Jesus.

Being pressed down does not mean you are staying down.

As long as you have breath, there is hope. Pressure is a good thing. It is a driving force that the Lord will use to get you where He wants you. Your trials are not intended to make you fail or fall. They are intended to make you more like Christ.

Praise God in the midst of trouble and know that He is preparing you for a better tomorrow. Declare today: “I am moving forward. I am going on to my destiny.”

“The race is won one step at a time."
