Dear ruben dario,

Luke 12:24, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." The greek word means, "Your thoughts and your feelings"...

Today has nothing to do with an offering, or your tithe, that is between you and God. This is about the heart of a giver. God doesn't need our money- but God has a mission for our giving

This teaching isn't an examination of where our money is, but where our heart is!

Where you have a deposit of wealth, this is where your feelings and thoughts are.

In Luke 18 there was rich ruler who wanted to know what he needed to do to inherit eternal life. He told Jesus he kept all the commandments. He don’t commit adultery, didn’t murder, steal, he didn’t give false testimony, he honored his mother and father... He said he obeyed all these.

In Luke 18:22 Jesus tells him; “Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come follow me.”

Treasure is a Greek word: "deposit / wealth", Heaven is a Greek word meaning specifically: "The Gospel" (Christianity).

Luke 18:23, "When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was a man of great wealth." This man was unwilling to give everything to "The Gospel." IT WAS HIS HEART (thoughts and feelings) that kept him from eternal life!

What is your attitude, your heart towards giving?

Hebrews 11:4, "By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh."Genesis 4:3-11, “in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;"Cain brought an offering but it was 'in part'. Remember that partial obedience is disobedience!
