Prayer Points

Psalm 9:18

“But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish.”

As summer comes to a close, we see more terror happening in the Holy Land, but we also see that God has brought us all together — Fellowship friends around the world — to stand in unity for the most vulnerable in Israel, especially during times of crisis. While we may feel fearful when horrible things are happening in the world, we also must hold onto hope. This week in prayer, let us find hope in the fact that we can pray, act, and support those in need, together.

  • Pray that we will all feel God’s kindness, love, and light shining down on us, and that we find hope and strength this week as we come together in prayer for Israel and her people. “Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy” (Psalm 47:1).
  • After recent rocket attacks subsided, Israel settled into relative calm. But terror once again gripped the Holy Land this weekend, when a terrorist attacked a bus near the holiest site in the Holy City of Jerusalem. Pray that God will watch over His people. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure’” (Psalm 122:6).
  • Praise God that The Fellowship donated a new mobile emergency control unit to the city of Ashkelon, which lies just 8 miles north of the Gaza Strip and is a frequent terrorist target. “You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety” (Job 11:18).
  • And praise Him for our committed donors who continue to help us provide basic needs to the people of Israel this summer. “‘The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the LORD will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them’” (Isaiah 41:17).
