August 31: Whose Side Are You On?

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

James 4:7

One of the major reasons Christians do not get victory over the devil is because they have this idea that they can just command the devil any way that they want. The only way you have authority over Satan is through the law of Christ.

There is a line. Choose your side. We cannot live with the devil then try to rebuke the devil. We must get on our side of the line so we can make the devil get back on his side of the line. It is the only way to get back what he has stolen from us.

We have to choose to follow God’s ways. We have to choose to be obedient to Him. This is how we show God how much we love Him. We can’t evict the devil one minute, and the next invite him back in. This is double-mindedness, and frankly, we’ll end up worse than when we started.

If you stay out of the devil’s territory, you’ll have the authority through Jesus to drive him out of yours.

Righteous living releases supernatural authority.
