Scripture

Bearing graciously with one another, and willingly forgiving each other if one has a cause for complaint against another; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so should you forgive. Colossians 3:13 (AMP)

Be Ready to Forgive

Ephesians 4:32 says, Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you (NIV). If you are spending any time at all with other people, you’re going to have a lot of opportunities to practice forgiveness.

When you make a choice to forgive others, it really benefits you. I often say that holding a grudge and staying bitter at someone is like drinking poison and hoping they will die. You’re only hurting yourself! I encourage you to be quick to forgive—leave it and let it go. Don’t allow the poison of unforgiveness to ruin your life.
