November 3: The Mighty Hand of the Lord

“And when the Israelites saw the mighty hand of the Lord displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the Lord and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant.”

Exodus 14:31

Even though the waters came down on the Egyptians, the entire company of the Israelites safely crossed the Red Sea on dry ground. The water created a wall to the right and to the left of them. The Lord saved Israel that day. They were free!

It is interesting to note that even after all the plagues that the Lord sent upon Egypt, the Israelites didn’t believe until they crossed the Red Sea.

What are you going through right now? What have you been crying out to the Lord for deliverance from? What act of God will it take for you to believe God? Do you believe that God is still mighty enough to save? Do you believe that He can deliver you?

The same God that pushed back the sea and dried the ground for the Israelites to cross over is the same God who sent His Son to die on a cross to have a relationship with us. Our God has not stopped fighting for His people. He may not come when you want Him to; the Israelites waited 430 years! But He always shows up right on time! When God sets you free, even your enemies know that He is the Lord! God is not a respecter of people, and He loves to display His power and glory on behalf of those who love Him!

May your life be read as a testimony to the glory of God.
