May 17: The Best Gift

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."

James 1:17

Sometimes we need to be reminded of the source of life. It is God. If He would blow out the candle of your life, you would expire immediately. We are helpless doves without Him. With Him, we are destined for greatness.

Every good and perfect gift comes down from the heavenly Father of lights. The devil cannot stop what God has for you. The devil cannot go back before time and undo what God foreknew!

God will not hold out on you. He is no respecter of persons. What He has done for me, He can and will do for you. We have the gift of salvation. We have the gift of life. We have the gift of the Holy Spirit to guide our steps. We have the gift of an eternal home. Thank Him for His gifts.

The only gift worth keeping is the one given by God.
