Daily Devotional (October-23-2023) UNLEASHING THE POWER OF THE CREATOR MAN
Scripture Reference: Hebrews 11:1-3 (KJV) "Now Faith is the Substance of things hoped for, the Evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through Faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."
Among all of the Lord God Almighty's Creation, man is the only one that was actually made in His Own Image and Likeness. One of the key areas where we reflect God's Core Essence is in His Creative Ability (Eph. 3:20). Man has an inherent power to create, hence it is pertinent to refer to him as the Creator Man. Today we see Mankind's Creative Powers expressed in different fields of endeavour i.e., from health care to agriculture, from our diverse means of transportation to our means of communication, from industrial inventions (science and technology) to Creative Miracles (signs and wonders) etc. Man's creative abilities continue to dazzle us on a daily basis.
Our Intrinsic Creative Potential can be expressed in Three Major Ways which also corresponds to the Three Dimensions of our existence:
(1.) Spiritual Creation: Examples of Spiritual Creation can be found in the First chapter of the Book of Genesis when God created the world. The Primary Tool in Spiritual Creation is Faith expressed through the Spoken Word (Heb. 11:3; 2Cor. 4:13). Another instance is the Healings and Creative Miracles manifested through the Ministry of the Lord Jesus, His disciples and even some of the Old Testament prophets.
(2.) Mental Creation: This dimension involves steps such as imagination, planning, calculating and conceptualizing (Gen. 11:6). Products of Mental Creation include plans, ideas, books, teachings, music and other various forms of intellectual property.
(3.) Physical Creation: This dimension is expressed mainly through physical exertion and work (1Thess. 4:11)..Physical products are easier to identify because they are all seen around us.
If all men are empowered with God's Creative Ability, then how come not everyone is really manifesting theirs? The reason is simply because not everyone understands the Creative Process which involves these Three Expressions of the Creative Ability. It begins from the intangible Four-Dimensional Realm (Spiritual and Mental) and ends in the Three-Dimensional physical realm. In order to create anything, it first of all needs to be properly known and conceptualized mentally, expressed and communicated with conviction through the Spoken Word and then finally implemented through actions.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You said in Your Word that You made man a little lower than Yourself, have crowned him with Glory and Honour and have put all things under his feet. Please open our eyes to all the abilities You have given to us and help us to express our creative potential to the maximum, that all the Glory might be Yours in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.
