Daily Devotional | Joni and  Sink Your Roots Deep By  Joni Eareckson Tada | Published On: November 29, 2023 | Categories:  Daily Devotional “But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” Matthew 13:23 Remember in elementary school when your teacher planted a bean in a plastic container? You could watch the little bean sprout, sink its roots, and then finally break through the dirt. The funny thing about that sprout was that its roots were deeper and more complex than its little green leaf. In fact, it was only able to grow upward because it grew downward at the same time.  Growth  in Christ takes place the same way. But sometimes we make a show of Christlikeness without having an inner life that corresponds with it. And no Christian can ever hope to grow upward that way. Today’s Scripture reveals that “the seed falling on good soil refers to someon

Bill Winston's Sunday Service Live Stream at Living Word Christian Center November-26- From Glory to Glory But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18 I believe that Jesus is doing a great work in your life right now. Maybe you can’t see it because there’s something that you have done in your past that you just can’t seem to shake off, that seems like weights around your feet holding you down. Beloved, today is the day for your breakthrough. Learn to see what God sees by fixing your eyes on Jesus. You need to understand that what you see or how others see you is not as important as how God sees you. Many people think that God sees them in their sins and is just waiting to pounce on them to punish them. This wrong belief produces wrong living. If you see God this way, you can’t help but be in constant fear, insecurity, and anxiety o

We may not see the results of our faithfulness until heaven. 1 Peter 1:10-13 - As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent fr

Sex outside of marriage is adultery, but does God consider anything else to be adulterous? He created Adam and Eve and commanded them to multiply and fill the earth. This is God’s idea of a family.

Victoria Osteen - Watch Sermon: Finding The Extraordinary In The Routine

Victoria Osteen - Watch Sermon: Finding The Extraordinary In The  Joel Osteen (November-18-2023) Daily Devotion: Where Would You Be? TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: "If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction." (Psalm 119:92, NIV) TODAY'S WORD: If it had not been for the goodness of God, where would you be? Some wouldn’t be alive today. Some would still be addicted. If it had not been for God’s favor some would still be struggling, barely making it. You may say, “Well Joel, I’ve got a long way to go.” And that may be true, but I want you to take a moment and look back over your life and realize how far you’ve come. The same God that brought you this far, the same God that has kept you alive is going to carry you through any difficulty you may be facing. The key is to just start praising and thanking Him for His goodness. Thank Him for His favor and blessing upon you. Praise precedes the victory. Praise brings the walls of opposition down. Praise is

Joyce Meyer (November-14-2023) Daily Devotional: God’s Calling

Joyce Meyer (November-14-2023) Daily Devotional: God’s  Joyce Meyer (November-14-2023) Daily Devotional: God’s Calling. In this controversial passage, it is evident that Paul was dealing with a specific situation for a specific time frame in history. As noted before, Priscilla, along with her husband, Aquila, had been a founding leader in this same church. I am not enough of a theologian to debate this problem fully. All I know is that God has always used—and still does use—women as leaders and teachers, preachers, ministers, missionaries, authors, evangelists, prophets, and so on. Just remember that God loves you and wants to use you in powerful ways to help other people. Don't ever let anyone tell you that God cannot or will not use you, just because you are a woman. As a woman, you are creative, comforting, sensitive, and you're able to be a tremendous blessing. You can bear a lot of good fruit in your life. You don't have to merely pass through life unnoticed, always in

The Long-Term View of Life Yael Eckstein   |  November 14, 2023 “ Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is the birthright to me?”  — Genesis 25:32 Each week in synagogue, Jews read through the  Torah  from Genesis to Deuteronomy. The  Torah  portion for this week is  Toldot , which means “offspring,” from Genesis 25:19—28:9. When I was growing up, Heinz Ketchup had a series of commercials with a tagline that my friends and I all knew by heart: “The best things come to those who wait.” Do you remember it? In each commercial, something wonderful happened to the main character because he or she was willing to wait for Heinz’s thick ketchup to emerge from the bottle. The tagline was successful in promoting the product, and in retrospect, I can appreciate that it was a good life lesson, too. In this week’s  Torah  portion, we learn that Esau was not willing to wait for the best things. After a busy day, Esau was hungry and sold his birthright for a bowl of soup. That’s right. Soup

The Kingdom of Light | Joni and  The Kingdom of Light By  Joni Eareckson Tada | Published On: November 10, 2023 | Categories:  Daily Devotional “So that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.” Colossians 1:10-13 (NIV, 1984) Whatever the time of year, most of us love the little, white LED lights strung around trees, porches, restaurant verandas, and the eaves of homes. Light is so connected with life, joy, and hope. Even the tiniest lights have the capacity to change the character of surrounding darkness. Today’s Scripture reminds us that light—p

Openhearted Generosity | Joni and Friends

Openhearted Generosity | Joni and  Openhearted Generosity By  Joni Eareckson Tada | Published On: November 7, 2023 | Categories:  Daily Devotional “Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.” Psalm 119:36 Phyllis is a Christian widow with a beautiful home and a large space to rent. When she met Nadine, a potential renter, and found out that Nadine was a believer too, Phyllis was so excited that she offered a rock-bottom rental fee. Nadine, however, firmly but politely declined. It was a large space in a beautiful home, and Nadine didn’t want to pay the heavily discounted amount. Instead, she thought it was important to pay for what the space was actually worth. Phyllis was shocked—but delighted—by Nadine’s counteroffer. It spoke of Nadine’s  generosity , her sense of fairness, and a Christlike attitude, all of which touched Phyllis in a powerful way. Today’s Scripture reads, “Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.” In other words, selfish a
