January 4: Write the vision

"Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it."

Habakkuk 2:2

What is vision? It’s more than what our eyes can see, though that’s a large part of it. According to Strong’s ָחזוֹן Hebrew Dictionary, the Hebrew word for vision is chazown, meaning “a sight (mentally), i.e. a dream, revelation, or oracle:—vision.”

God told Habakkuk to write down what he saw. Why? Because God watches over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). When it’s written down, it can be made plain. When something is plain, you can see it. When you are able to see it, you can believe and partner with God for it.

Also, when you write your vision down and make it simple, God will direct His heavenly army to work on your behalf to manifest your vision.

What are your heart’s desires for this year? Have you taken them to God? Do they align with His vision for you? Write it down. Make it plain and put what you saw or what you heard somewhere visible,

so that you can set your heart and mind to agree with God for what He wants to accomplish in your life!
