Daily Devotional (January-10-2024) THE MELCHIZEDEK 

January 10: Increase like Jesus

"And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men."

Luke 2:52

Jesus is our role model. He’s the firstfruit of many brethren, which means He governs everything that we are entitled to. This is why Jesus said that we would do not only the works

that He did but greater works. He’s the firstfruit. He set the pattern. He created the mold.

Therefore, everything you see in our elder brother, Jesus, you have access to it. If Jesus did it, you can do it. If Jesus has it, you can have it. The pattern set for us is that Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

According to Strong’s Greek Dictionary, the word increased in Greek is προκόπτω prokopto. It means, “to drive forward (as if by beating), i.e. (figuratively and intransitively) to advance (in amount, to grow; in time, to be well along): — increase, proceed, profit, be far spent, wax.”

Do you want to advance? Do you want to increase? Do you want to grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man? You’ll have to choose—God’s way or the world’s way. Just remember: the decisions you make today become the reality you live with tomorrow.

I urge you... choose God’s wisdom and His favor will follow.
