April 18: Faith Comes by Hearing

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

John 14:27

Living in turmoil, worry, anxiety, fear, and frustration was never something Jesus intended us to suffer or experience. Webster’s Dictionary 1828 defines fear as “a painful emotion or passion excited by an expectation of evil, or the apprehension of impending danger.” Regarding anxiety, Webster states, “It expresses more than uneasiness or disturbance, and even more than trouble or solicitude. it usually springs from fear or serious apprehension of evil, and involves a suspense respecting an event, and often, a perplexity of mind, to know how to shape our conduct .” How do we overcome fear? How do we release anxiety and worry? How do we break the generational curse of fear and anxiety in our families? We get into the Word of God! Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Getting into the Word of God will restore your faith. Fear and faith cannot cohabitate! The Word of God will activate your faith. Remember, you don’t face your fears alone. God is with you to help you overcome all the schemes of the enemy!

God is with you to help you overcome all the schemes of the enemy!
