31 DAYS OF WISDOM OF GOD
Proverbs 24;16
I WISH I could tell you that the moment you come to Christ you will never have to face another heartbreaking problem or situation as long as you live. But that is simply not the case. Unfortunately, we will face some stormy episodes in life, some so severe that we may wonder if we will ever recover. But as the old adage goes, it is not how many times you fall that counts, but how many times you get up.
In this proverb, the word, in Hebrew, means “lawful” or “righteous.” It tells us that even the most godly believers are going to be knocked down; they are not immune to the attacks of the enemy. There will come a time when we will face a test that will cause us to fail, but you don't have to stay down. It's time for you to rise up, dust.
31 DAYS OF WISDOM FROM GOD
Step aside, square your shoulders, and put your faith back in the cross of Christ. Failing is a horrible occurrence. No one wants to endure the scrutiny of their peers, and no one wants to endure the rumors associated with failure. That's why some who fail give up altogether. But faith never stays still. Faith always rises up. Even when it gets hit in the mouth, faith beckons that problem to stand firm. Faith says, "I will not stay down."
Although failure brings tremendous pain, if the blemish seeks God's face, does not humble itself, then God will cause that person to rise again. What we are given in this verse is that the righteous, even if they fail, will rise again. If you get knocked down at times, then get up. In other words, don’t give up, fight, keep believing, and keep your faith anchored in Christ and the cross. My dear friend, Pastor Aaron Crabb, made a statement that really blessed me. He said, “You were meant to live in the storm, you’re just going through it.” Many Christians are living in the storm when the storm was never meant for them to live in. It was designed to go through it, and when you go through it, you will grow strong. It’s like we see a light again.
