Charles Stanley (May-16-2021) Read Daily Devotional: Sunday Reflection: Glory in Our Differences Charles Stanley (May-16-2021) Read Daily Devotional: Sunday Reflection: Glory in Our Differences In  1 Corinthians 9:20-21 - 20 To the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might win Jews; to those who are under the Law, as under the Law though not being myself under the Law, so that I might win those who are under the Law; 21 to those who are without law, as without law, though not being without the law of God but under the law of Christ, so that I might win those who are without law,  Paul describes people with different practices and identities—and then explains that he became like each group in order to tell them the good news. Though we know our primary identity is in Jesus Christ, we each have a specific background that informs our life. Our ethnicity, family, and other identifiers were given to us by God. He formed every detail—and each of us uniquely bears His image. He wants us to hono

Paula White Ministries DEVOTIONAL May 15: Press On “For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life." 2 Corinthians 1:8 Besides Jesus, I do not think anyone in the Bible suffered as much as Paul, the apostle. This man was shipwrecked, stoned, imprisoned, abandoned, harassed, persecuted, snake bitten, and left for dead. If anyone could have had a reason for quitting, he might have qualified; but instead, he counted it all joy to suffer like Jesus. Being pressed down does not mean you are staying down. As long as you have breath, there is hope. Pressure is a good thing. It is a driving force that the Lord will use to get you where He wants you. Your trials are not intended to make you fail or fall. They are intended to make you more like Christ. Praise God in the midst of trouble and know that He is preparing you for a better tomorrow. Declare today: “I a

John Hagee (May-14-2021) Daily Devotional: Psalm 128:4

John Hagee (May-14-2021) Daily Devotional: Psalm 128:4 : John Hagee (May-14-2021) Daily Devotional: Psalm 128:4 - Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the LORD. Psalm 128 tells us that a man who fears the Lord and walks in His ways will be blessed! The best way that a man can love his wife is to walk in relationship with Jesus Christ. It changes their marriage, their family, and their world. This Psalm continues with the admonishment that “you shall eat the labor of your hand (Psalm 128:2). A Godly man works at a job to provide for his family. He is honored and well respected (Proverbs 31:23). First Timothy 5:8 even goes so far as to say that a man who does not care for his relatives – especially those in his own home – denies the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. His lack of empathy and enterprise deny the faith that he professes. As he and his family enjoy the fruits of his labor, Psalm 128:2 declares that he “shall be happy.” A Godly man demonstrates a pleasant at

If you’ve been working hard to accomplish something and are not seeing the level of benefit that matches your level of investment, remember Simon. He fished all night and caught NOTHING. His boat was empty. But Jesus, who redeems all things, “...got into the boat...sat down and began teaching the crowds.”‬ (LUKE 5:3) Jesus enters into emptiness. Weakness is always a platform for His strength. Every. Single. Time.
