Today’s Devotional The gift of discernment is critical in our day-to-day lives. There are people who will try to come into our lives dressed and spoken well—seemingly trying to help us. But in reality, they have an agenda to destroy us! Today, if you don’t have the gift of discernment, ask God for it. In these days, it’s something we need! Prayer Father, I thank You for Your tenderness and love. Today, I ask for the gift of discernment. I need to know by Your Spirit when what’s going on is not really what’s going on. In Jesus’ name, amen!

Habakkuk 2:2 What is vision? It’s more than what our eyes can see, though that’s a large part of it. According to Strong’s ָחזוֹן Hebrew Dictionary, the Hebrew word for vision is chazown, meaning “a sight (mentally), i.e. a dream, revelation, or oracle:—vision.” God told Habakkuk to write down what he saw. Why? Because God watches over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). When it’s written down, it can be made plain. When something is plain, you can see it. When you are able to see it, you can believe and partner with God for it. It takes place on Friday night, which is the  beginning of  Shabbat . After everyone comes home from the evening  Shabbat  service in the synagogue, we gather around the table for  Shabbat  dinner.
