November 2: Praying In The Spirit

“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

Romans 8:26

Pray in tongues, and let the Holy Spirit pray through you.

This type of prayer is when our spirit talks directly with God’s Spirit. We may not always have cognitive knowledge of what we are praying, but have faith that your prayers are shifting atmospheres.

You could be stopping an accident. You could be praying for protection over a child. You could be praying for saints in another country that are being persecuted. You could be decreeing what heaven has declared over your own life. The possibilities are endless.

You may even find that after praying in the Spirit for a while that your tongue changes. It’s okay. Go with it. The Spirit may change the language you are speaking in. Don’t resist. It’s still God. Just go with it. Your prayers could change a nation.

Prayer changes things.
