Paula White Ministries : Pastor Paula White-Cain is a celebrated author and teacher, beloved grandmother, mother and mentor, and spirit-led preacher of God’s Word August 31: Whose Side Are You On? “ Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7 One of the major reasons Christians do not get victory over the devil is because they have this idea that they can just command the devil any way that they want. The only way you have authority over Satan is through the law of Christ. There is a line. Choose your side. We cannot live with the devil then try to rebuke the devil. We must get on our side of the line so we can make the devil get back on his side of the line. It is the only way to get back what he has stolen from us. We have to choose to follow God’s ways. We have to choose to be obedient to Him. This is how we show God how much we love Him. We can’t evict the devil one minute, and the next invite him back in. This is double-mindedness,

Week 35| Everyday Study - Joyce Meyer Ministries

Week 35| Everyday Study - Joyce Meyer Ministries : Scripture For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart. - Hebrews 4:12 (AMP) Practical Steps to Study the Bible As you begin your journey of getting into God’s Word, I want to share some practical tips with you that have helped me: Purposely set aside time. Make an appointment with God each day. If mornings don’t work for you, then find a time that does. Just start somewhere! Make preparation for your Bible study. Choose a comfortable place to study where you can be alone and away from distractions. Have all your materials available. Along with your Bible, bring any study tools you may want to use, such as a con

Day 238: God's Benefit Package (Psalm 103:1-12, 2 Corinthians 1:1-11, 2 Chronicles 26:1-28:27 Psalm 103:1-12 Psalm 103 Of David. 1  Praise the Lord, my soul;   all my inmost being, praise his holy name. 2  Praise the Lord, my soul,   and forget not all his benefits— 3  who forgives all your sins   and heals all your diseases, 4  who redeems your life from the pit   and crowns you with love and compassion, 5  who satisfies your desires with good things   so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. 6  The Lord works righteousness   and justice for all the oppressed. 7  He made known his ways to Moses,   his deeds to the people of Israel: 8  The Lord is compassionate and gracious,   slow to anger, abounding in love. 9  He will not always accuse,   nor will he harbor his anger forever; 10  he does not treat us as our sins deserve   or repay us according to our iniquities. 11  For as high as the heavens are above the earth,   so great is his love for those who fear him; 12  as far a

Day 236: Winning the Battle (Proverbs 20:25-21:4, 1 Corinthians 15:50-16:4, 2 Chronicles 21:4-23:21) : Proverbs 20:25-21:4 25 It is a trap to dedicate something rashly   and only later to consider one’s vows. 26 A wise king winnows out the wicked;   he drives the threshing wheel over them. 27 The human spirit is the lamp of the Lord   that sheds light on one’s inmost being. 28 Love and faithfulness keep a king safe;   through love his throne is made secure. 29 The glory of young men is their strength,   gray hair the splendor of the old. 30 Blows and wounds scrub away evil,   and beatings purge the inmost being. 21In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water   that he channels toward all who please him. 2 A person may think their own ways are right,   but the Lord weighs the heart. 3 To do what is right and just   is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. 4 Haughty eyes and a proud heart—   the unplowed field of the wicked—produce sin. Charles Stanley (August-17-2022) Daily Devotional: When Friendships Fade

Charles Stanley (August-17-2022) Daily Devotional: When Friendships  Aim for Excellence Aug 17, 2022 Today’s Scripture Philippians 1:9–10, ESV ...that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ... Today’s Word For many people, mediocrity is the norm; they do as little as they possibly can to just get by. But God has called us to be His representatives, to be people of excellence and integrity. How you live, how you conduct your business and do your work, is all a reflection on our God. Any hint of compromise or mediocrity will taint our greatest victories or our grandest achievements as well as keep us from God's best. When you have an excellent spirit, it shows up in the quality of everything you do and the attitude with which you do it. The Scripture says that whatever you do, you should give your best effort and do it as if you are doing it for God. You go t

Learn from the Needy | International Fellowship of Christians and Jews : Learn from the Needy Yael Eckstein  |  August 12, 2022 One who is full loathes honey from the comb,     but to the hungry even what is bitter tastes sweet. — Proverbs 27:7 We continue with devotional thoughts from the Book of Proverbs every Friday. One of the 11 books in the Torah known as the Ketuvim, Hebrew for “writings,” Proverbs is part of the “wisdom tradition,” which also includes Job and Ecclesiastes. Are we too pampered? In the early nineties, just after the fall of the Soviet Union, there were devastating food shortages throughout the former Eastern Bloc countries. A good friend of mine, a Jewish educator, traveled to Estonia in 1992 as part of a project to bring Jewish education to the Jewish community there. He told me about the empty supermarket shelves he saw there, about the long lines in the outdoor market when a shipment of any food item came to town. But one anecdote really stuck with me. He

GS Newsletter - August 9th,  I JUST FEEL LIKE SOMETHING GOOD IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN - PART III by Gabriel Swaggart “AND WHEN THE DAY   of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance”  (Acts 2:1-4).   I’M LOOKING FOR THE POSSIBLE A few years ago, someone was telling me a story about a little girl with an extreme disfigurement, which would leave most with a negative view of themselves.  She attended a school for kids with physical impairments.  The school was located in a particular state up north.  A local television crew was sent to follow her throughout the day. What was seen by the local crew caused absolute dismay, for this lit
